It is in XIIème century, at the time where the popes were French, that was born the vineyard from Nerthe: it merges with the appearance of the vine with Châteauneuf du Pape, where the pontiffs had made election of residence of summer. Recognized without question primus inter pares of the historical fields of Châteauneuf du Pape, the Castle Nerthe did not cease being surrounded of the most attentive care by its successive owners: men of convictions, aristocrats, experts as a Châteauneuf du Pape, they have worked so that Nerthe acquires and maintains a reputation excellence.
